It was around 6 in the morning, i was inside my cottage at Kanthaloor, sipping the hot cup of coffee prepared from fresh milk from a near by farm. It was so cold and misty outside, creating a mysterious feeling inside me. I couldnt confine myself in the comforts of the luxurious cottage, my heart was aching to break the shackles and fly into the wild. So that i can be with the nature, smell the scent of newly bloomed flowers, feel the mist, listen to the sounds of nature and become part of the nature. I didnt have a second thought, put on a warm jacket grabbed my camera and i stepped out...

All i needed was one step forward...

First of all I want to ask you a question. Just think for 2 minutes & try to answer. If you can’t, then don’t worry, just carry on with reading.

So my question is what happens if there were no trees on planet earth?

This answer is not perfect. This may or may not happen. This is just an hypothesis made with the help of some scientific data.

Trees absorb carbon dioxide. So no trees means more and more carbon dioxide is loose in the air. More carbon dioxide means an increased greenhouse effect, which leads to global warming. Temperature may increase by many times. Take for the current situation, the temperature has risen to record heights, which has led people to confine to air-conditioned cubicles. So just imagine what will happen when there is few more rise in mercury level.

Rainforests cover only about 7 percent of the world's surface. However, within this 7 percent live almost half of all plant and animal species on earth. Some of these species only live in small specific areas. As the landscape changes, some plants and animals are simply unable to survive. Species from the tiniest flower to large orangutans will become extinct. So our future generations will be able to see these animals only through internet & other kinds of media’s… !!!

Absence of trees also affects indigenous people, both physically and culturally. Because many indigenous people actually have no legal rights to the land on which they live, governments that want to use the forest for profit can actually "evict" them. As these populations leave the rainforest, they also leave their culture behind.

If you think that you can adjust & get well with these miserables, then you are absolutely wrong.

No trees means no oxygen & more and more of carbon dioxide. Which means you are dead… !!!

If you think you can survive with the oxygen masks & other gadgets. Just think that you are not the only one strugglig to survive on earth. Within no time your artificial oxygen supply will also get finished.

So no trees means no humans…

Ok, now lets come back to normal. With the current rate of deforestration, the above mentioned state will be reached within no time. So its wise to act now itself.

Adopt a tree... Just like having a pet, grow a tree & take care of it.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.

This is an extraordinary unnatural phenomenon, even science & technology can give an explanation. Its just a miracle...

Mobile sings… the song Gujarish{From Ghajini}. Lazily I move my head out of the blanket, jus like a tortoise popping his head from his shell ;). I sit up & pray that atleast 2day I can breathe normal, had running nose for the last two days. I think my nose has lengthened by 1 inch…!!! Wet handkerchiefs & tissues all around my room…!!!

Thank god…I m breathing normal, but… I got a sore throat… Oh no…!!! I cant sing today… { Jus joking, lol…) Oh forgot 2 check my mob, its morning wish from my FRIEND & when I checked the time its 8. Today I m very late, let me get down before dad comes back from yoga. While coming down, dad is already back from yoga & is reading the newspaper. He turned towards me, locked his eyes & said I think you are not doing your yoga & meditations regularly that’s why you are falling ill. I replied fast I don’t get time [ The most silliest excuse in the whole world…!!!] No reaction from him, he continued reading the newspaper, must have thought its wasting time arguing with me…!!!

I went to kitchen mom was busy cooking something. She said take the milk from fridge, I will boil it for you. I said I don’t want milk today, let me have a coffee today & I went to do my routine, when I came back after 20 mins, my coffee is ready. I went to my room & opened the balcony.

I switched on my play list, the song Annul maele paani thulli [from vaarnam aayiram] was playing. Wow what a song…slow, melodious, romantic song. The meaning of the lyrics is like this snow flakes over the fire, wandering bird, rain drops searching for the tree & goes on. Does that make any sense??? Anyway it’s a nice song, who is bothered to find its meaning…!!! Its raining very heavily & looks very beautiful to watch nature having a hot cup of coffee. Raindrops falling from the trees, leaves & newly bud flowers, naughty boys playing in the pool of water, school children going to school wearing raincoats, birds singing in praise of RAIN GOD watching these as the gulp of hot coffee moves down your sore throat, what a feeling!!! Its hard to express…
